They can also cause large raw patches on your pet due to moisture being trapped which allows bacteria to grow. De-Matting can be very time consuming and painful for the pet. Long, thick and Short Shedding coats: Must be thoroughly brushed prior to being bathed to assure cleanliness to the skin and coat. As an example a large long haired Shepard or Newfoundland can nearly take all day to brush, bathe and rebrush. This labor must be factored into the final price.
